2023 ALCC Board Candidates

Candidate for ALCC Board President
Molly Jensen
I wish to serve one more year as president to assist with the completion of policies and procedures that will provide future ALCC board members more continuity in meeting the club's fiduciary responsibilities. These structures will build a foundation for the care and maintenance of the facilities we share in common, increase consistency of how our board serves this community and ease succession of future boards.
I value connection and understanding as a base for all interactions, along with commitment and integrity to goals and processes. Listening to understand and to find common ground supports our efforts to create a community that can meet hardships with creativity and resolve, while making sure we find ways to have fun and enjoy each others company.
From mentoring board members to collaborating with neighbors, it is a president's duty to oversee, represent and promote the wellness of the club in all manners of business, from financial to social. I will attempt to do that within the context of also being human!

Candidate for ALCC Board Vice-President
Kim Ross
I grew up on Ames Lake, and have watched and studied our lake’s ecology for over fifty years. I have been an official Lake Steward on Ames Lake since 2010, participating in both the weed-watching and water quality monitoring programs.
In addition to monitoring and advocating for the health of Ames Lake, one of her primary focuses has been writing and creating educational material about the inhabitants of the lake, and the best practices for supporting our natural ecosystem.

I am running for another term as Vice-President. In this capacity, I hope to continue to support our ongoing community efforts to care for and preserve our lake for future generations.

Candidate for ALCC Board Treasurer
Kim Saganski
After 2 years as ALCC Treasurer, I’ve developed a good sense of our financial needs and partnered with board and committee members to develop a recommendation for how much we need to keep in reserve and how to maintain that reserve to fund maintenance and repairs going forward over the next 20+ years.
I look forward to finalizing a plan that keeps us informed and prepared to manage our community’s responsibilities now and into the future.

Candidate for ALCC Trustee #2
Daniel Dow
Daniel and his wife Shellie have lived around Ames Lake for over 18 years. He and his wife enjoy the beauty of Ames Lake and spend warm summer days out in the sun. With our dog Jake, they love taking long hikes on the tree farm through its lovely forests, rambling trails, and lovely mountain views.

Daniel has served one term as an ALCC Trustee. During that time, he has helped facilitate community conversations, and helped with numerous lake maintenance projects, served on the board nomination committee, and assisted with the ALCC website. Last year, he most enjoyed the opportunity to work with Ames Lake neighbors to design and test an invasive Lilypad Harvester watercraft. He is looking forward to deploying the harvester once again in 2023.
He is looking forward to serving the Ames Lake Community for another term as Trustee.
